•    Adversity – the fuel of the refiner’s fire

Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and affliction for drink, he
will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with
    your own eyes,(Isaiah 30:20 NLT)

Our walk in life may be viewed as a triangle. We are at the base of that triangle. Its very wide and allows us to wander, to do our own thing.  As we progress in life we move closer to the top of the triangle and are pressured to live a more responsible life; making our life conform to the life God wants us to live.

We are pressured on both sides by the hand of God to do His will and conform to His image. In adversity there are decisions we must make. Will we conform or will we resist the hand of God?

Remember, the refiner’s fire (Malachi 3:3) is to purify us and conform us to His image.
